Maybe instead of a stigma, she simply feels that as a celebrity it's not the entire world's business. It'd be one thing for Jane Regular to tell the people in her life whom she chose to tell; but another for someone in the public eye. The tabloids would track down the donor and dig up every horrible story that ever happened to her second cousins twice removed...
