The RESOLVE conference and my IVF specialist
I saw my IVF specialist at the RESOLVE Fertility Treatment, Donor Choices, and Adoption Conference in Marlborough, MA today. It was great to see him and say hi. He remembers me even though it has been two years since I had my last transfer. I spent a good part of three years hanging around the clinic trying this and that. I think he remembers the twins as well.
Being at the conference reminded me of those three years. IVF is an interesting process. It is composed of many stops and starts. Tests and then waiting. Surgery and then recovery. Do a little something and then wait. Do something else and wait. I had forgotten a lot of it and some of it came back today hearing other people stories about how they are dealing with their infertility journey. I am so glad that I had the strength and resolve to stay with the plan and to roll with the punches.
