Infertility conference to be held on October 25th
The Bay State Chapter of RESOLVE, the National Infertility Association is holding a Fertility Treatment, Donor Choices, and Adoption Conference on October 25th in Marlborough, MA. The conference program is extensive – a day-long educational event, offering nearly 40 workshops covering all aspects of medical treatment, emotional and legal issues, donor egg choices, and adoption options. With so many great options, I had trouble choosing the workshops I wanted to attend but have now registered for the conference and am looking forward to the day.
During all the stops and starts that play a big part in the infertility process, I felt I was on my own. I internalized my feelings and thoughts and didn’t reach out to a support group or talk to anyone constructively about what I needed to do for me. What would help? Information? Guidance? Real acknowledgement of all that I was going through? Meeting others who were facing the same issues? Figuring out a lot on my own, I missed opportunities to develop higher levels of resourcefulness in myself with support from others. In a nutshell, as a life coach supporting women new to infertility or in the midst of the process, I want to help women make the best of this tough time.
